The exceet Card Group is one of the leading European manufacturers of payment, RFID, dual-interface and chip cards as well as security documents in the areas of government, banking, transportation, access and retail. The company produces around 400 million cards and antennas at its sites every year. The exceet Card Group’s portfolio also includes cards that are largely made from wood or recycled PETG or PVC. The exceet Card Group is headquartered in Kematen in Tyrol, Austria. Other locations are Unterschleissheim/Munich (Germany), Zurich (Switzerland), Ieper (Belgium), Skovlunde (Denmark), Prachatice (Czech Republic) and Vienna.
The satisfaction of our customers is our most important goal. We therefore place the highest demands on the quality of our products and services. In addition to our quality management system, which guarantees the maintenance of this claim, numerous certificates and attestations from independent testing bodies prove the high standard of our production.
The production sites in Kematen, Unterschleissheim, Prachatice, Urdorf, Yper and Skovlunde are certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015. The high standards of its quality management system have thus been confirmed by an independent certification body.
In November 2021, the site in Kematen obtained ISO 14298:2021 “Management of Security Printing Processes” certification. This means that exceet Card Austria GmbH fulfills the requirements of a certified security printing company.
The Urdorf, Skovlunde and Ieper sites are certified to ISO 27001. This is an internationally recognized standard for information security management. The aim of the sites is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information within the Group and to manage risks appropriately.
The environment is close to our hearts. The environmental management system of our production facility in Unterschleißheim is therefore certified according to ISO 14001.
Our head office in Kematen in Tyrol is FSC® certified. The FSC® certificate identifies responsible forestry practices and is awarded to companies that meet strict sustainability standards. It guarantees ethical and environmentally friendly sourcing of wood and paper products and contributes to the preservation of forests and the well-being of communities.
FIDO (Fast Identity Online) is a secure standard for protecting and accessing sensitive data through authentication. Developed by a consortium including Google, Amazon and Apple, it uses standard public key cryptography techniques. FIDO aims to protect user privacy and enable easy, secure online access to personal, commercial and physical data.
The production facilities in Kematen, Unterschleissheim and Urdorf were audited by Visa and certified accordingly. The “physical security” was confirmed for Kematen and the “logical & physical security” for Unterschleissheim and Urdorf. This proves that production complies with the security guidelines of the Payment Card Industry (PCI).
In addition to ISO 9001, the Kematen, Prachatice, Urdorf and Unterschleissheim sites are also certified in accordance with Mastercard’s Card Quality Management (CQM). Card Quality Management (CQM) includes requirements for the quality management system (QMS) as well as industry-specific minimum standards for evaluation and testing processes to be able to assess product and process conformity.
Card Quality Management thus provides the optimum framework for checking and complying with process requirements (ISO 9001 and CQM supplements etc.), product requirements (ISO 7810, ISO 7811, ISO 7816 etc.) and inspection requirements (ISO 10373 and CQM supplements) and is an integral part of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
The Kematen, Unterschleissheim and Urdorf locations were also audited and successfully certified by Mastercard. The “physical security” was confirmed for Kematen and the “logical & physical security” for Unterschleissheim and Urdorf. Production is therefore carried out in accordance with Mastercard and Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
